ABOUT
JASON GOODENDORF, Owner & Instructor
For Owner and Director of Instruction, Jason Goodendorf, golf has been his life's work and passion. After playing professionally for nine years, he had the opportunity to help fellow professionals achieve their tour cards as a caddie coach in the PGA Tour Q-School and PGA Tour sanctioned events. This ultimately led to a career change from professional player to golf coach and tour player consultant. In 2012, Jason moved to Cleveland, Ohio and accepted a position as the Director of Instruction at the Red Tail Golf Club. Later that year, he joined Golftec, the country’s industry leader in golf instruction.
Raised in southwestern Wisconsin stabling horses on the family farm, Jason learned the meaning of early mornings and hard work. After receiving a cut down set of old golf clubs at the age of three, he took a path that led him to his passion and life's work. In the early days, Jason transformed the back hay field into a driving range, used the yard to perfect his short game and the house as a flop shot wall. He continued to swing, pitch, chip and putt in the house through the winter months and then applied it to tournament golf the rest of the year. High school highlights include four-time SWAL Conference Champion, Regional and Sectional Champion and placing third in the Wisconsin High School State Tournament.
After an accomplished high school and junior career, Jason attended the San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He continued to excel on the golf course with over twenty-one weekly tournament wins. After obtaining an Associate of Business and Management, including Golf Complex Operations and Management, Jason moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. He played on the Golden Bear, Gateway and Texas Pro Tours. In 2007, Jason had hand surgery and, in many ways, this was a turning point in the young player’s professional career. After a year of rehabbing, Jason started the process of rebuilding a golf swing from the ground up. He sought out world-class instructor and Midwest native, Mike Bender, at the MIke Bender Golf Academy in Lake Mary, Florida.
In 2009, Jason rejoined the Gateway Tour, working toward his end goal of the PGA Tour.
